— Fried Chicken Concept, Authentic Thai Street Food, and a Major Urban Fashion Retailer Set to Open This Fall and Winter —
Buffalo, NY: Walden Galleria is excited to welcome three new storefronts to the shopping center’s diverse retail and dining options, continuing the property’s ongoing tenant expansion. These additions include two new Food Court dining options and an urban apparel retailer, scheduled to open this fall and in early 2027.
Ruby Thai Kitchen will be taking over a 727 sq. ft. space in the Food Court previously occupied by Subway. The quick-service concept focuses on authentic, made-to-order Thai street food, featuring traditional items such as Pad Thai, spicy curries, stir-fried noodles, and savory rice dishes made with high-quality ingredients. The restaurant is planning to open next month in September.
Chick’n Time is set to open in a 627 sq ft. Food Court space next to Charley’s Philly Steaks, introducing the only dedicated fried chicken concept to Walden Galleria’s food court lineup. Operating under the slogan “It’s Always Chick’n Time,” the restaurant features hand-breaded crispy chicken tenders, wings, combo boxes, sandwiches, burritos, salads, and more. The storefront will include a customizable Hot Bar Station with sides such as mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, homestyle/waffle fries, Spanish rice, and cilantro lime rice. Their signature chicken sauces include Sweet Chili, Honey Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parm, and Spicy Bang Bang. Additionally, a Cold Bar Station will service customizable burrito wraps and salad bowls with their signature chicken flavor options, along with a selection of drinks and fresh smoothies. Chick’n Time is planning to open later this fall.
Lifestyle and urban fashion retailer DTLR will occupy a 4,975 sq. ft. retail space on the lower level of the shopping center. DTLR will offer a selection of athletic footwear, apparel, and accessories from global brands like Nike, Jordan, and Adidas. The store will also feature high-demand sneaker drops and fashion tailored to trendy, style-driven consumers. The brand will take over the footprint currently occupied by Foot Locker, which is relocating and expanding to a new, updated space across from Dick’s Sporting Goods. DTLR is planned to open in early 2027.
“The addition of these three distinct brands reflects the continued strength, growth, and leasing momentum at Walden Galleria,” said Joel Cady, General Manager at Walden Galleria. “By introducing a dedicated fried chicken option with Chick’n Time, authentic street-food flavors through Ruby Thai Kitchen, and expanding our retail footprint with a premier brand like DTLR, we’re continuing to optimize our tenant mix.”
Further details regarding specific grand opening dates will be released as construction is underway and completed. For more information, visit www.waldengalleria.com or follow Walden Galleria’s Facebook and Instagram pages for updates.
