Showcase to Expand into US at Walden Galleria
Showcase, “Home of the Hottest Trends”, plans to open inside Walden Galleria this summer
 

Buffalo, NY:  Showcase (headquartered outside of Toronto, ON) has grown to more than 100 stores in Canada and is now launching its first stores in the US, choosing Walden Galleria as one of the brand’s first locations across the border. Showcase specializes in emerging retail trends in health, beauty, home, and toys. From the mainstream (Finishing Touch Flawless and magnetic eyelashes), to the intriguing (the no! no! hair remover), or to the wacky (Canada’s largest selection of fidget spinners), all Showcase products are joyfully retailed in a fun and interactive retail environment. Showcase’s ability to identify and monetize emerging trends before other retailers is a function of proprietary trend technology, financial investment theory, and entrepreneurial culture. Kulkarni sees the US as an opportunity to continue its expansion. Only two Canadian retailers have achieved global success (Aldo and lululemon) and Showcase wants to be the third.  Showcase believes that its “rapid retail” model can be scaled in the same way as global “fast fashion”.

Showcase, founded in 1994, plans to open 100 stores in the USA as well as a US distribution center, to be completed by 2020. The Showcase store at Walden Galleria will occupy a 1,250 sq. ft. space on the upper level near Dick’s Sporting Goods.
