Job Summary of an Assistant Manager is to provide support for store operations and provide sales direction for team. Ensures compliance is met for all company programs, guidelines, policies and procedures. Holds keys and follows store opening and closing procedures. Treats customers and coworkers with dignity and respect.
Minimum 1 year Retail Management experience
Computer/Internet skills including Microsoft Office applications
Proven leadership experience
Proven experience in multi-tasking and organization
Ability to develop and motivate a team of up to 20 employees
Able to resolve complaints and problems as the arise from customers and associates
Communicates well and effectively in a one on one setting and in a group setting
Able to travel and drive as needed
Frequently stands, walks, observes, communicates and reads. Regularly moves and pushes. Counts and writes to accurately complete documentation. Must be able to; access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area and register area, operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store, climb ladders, move or handle merchandise throughout the store (generally weighing from 0-25 pounds) and work varied hours/days to oversee store operations. Environment is fast paced and indoor temperature conditions vary.
