Scotty Bowman holds the NHL record for most wins in league history with 1,244 regular season wings and 223 Stanley Cup playoff victories. He ranks 2nd all time for the most Stanley Cup victories by a coach, player or executive with 14. Bowman was the head coach for the Buffalo Sabres from 1979 – 1987 and has coached several other NHL teams including the Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings. He is currently the Senior Advisor of Hockey Operations for the Chicago Blackhawks and is regarded as one of the greatest coaches in history of any professional sport.
