Join Microsoft for their FREE two-hour coding workshop on Saturday, September 8th from 10-12pm!
Students ages 8–12 will play in Minecraft while they learn how to code with Microsoft’s MakeCode platform. They will program an Agent robot to complete challenges and even change the weather, or as they say in the world of Minecraft: they will make it rain Ocelots and Wolves!
By the end of this Workshop, participants will have:
•Increased confidence in their technical and coding skills
•Improved their computational and creative thinking
•Read and understand code in the MakeCode environment
•Programmed code in Minecraft to change the weather and control an agent
This camp lasts two hours. The parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult caregiver of every Camp participant under 17 years of age must sign a Participation Agreement upon arrival and remain in Microsoft Store for the duration of the event.
No experience with MakeCode or Minecraft is required.
