Celebrate the annual Deaf Awareness Week on Monday, September 24th from 6-8pm on the lower level near Apple!
Celebrate with an opening Proclamation by Erie County, speeches by several state Assembly members and Senators; learn about what various agencies, groups and organizations provide to the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing and Hearing Communities.
Meet new author, Amy Crockford, who will read an excerpt of her new children’s book about a Deaf girl – purchase of her book and signing will be available.
There will also be a performance by Deaf ASL storyteller, Vicki Nordquist.
American Sign Language interpreters provided for voicing and sign language needs.
