Part Time Shoe Sales Associate, Evenings

Lord & Taylor at the Walden Galleria is now hiring associates for the Ladies Shoe Department. We are seeking candidates who are available in the evenings and on the weekends for 15-20 hours per week. This is a fast-paced department; candidates must be able to multi-task, assist multiple customers at once, climb ladders to reach shoes, and carry multiple shoe boxes. Our Ideal candidate will have a sales background, an outgoing personality and the desire to help customers.

As a Sales Associate you will represent Lord & Taylor and its ideals of service and quality to the customer. Professionalism and knowledge of merchandise are essential qualities for success. As representatives of Lord & Taylor's fashion image, all Sales Associates are expected to dress in a professional manner. Sales Associates must be able to work in a team-oriented environment, have strong people skills and be comfortable with building client relationships.

Key Accountabilities

• Generate sales by determining customers needs.
• Develop and maintain your own clientele.
• Develop product knowledge by learning the merchandise features, advantages and benefits.
• Open new charge accounts.
• Maintain floor standards including replenishment and presentation as well as the general appearance and cleanliness of department.
• Understand all systems and procedures relating to sales and credit transactions.
• Enforce loss prevention and shortage control procedures.


Job Requirements

• Prior selling experience is preferred.
• An understanding of fashion is helpful.
• Engaging personality.

Full Time Sales Associates

 

Lord & Taylor is currently hiring Full Time Sales Associates in Women’s Apparel and Fine Jewelry.  This position requires availability on the weekends and 2 evenings per week.  This is a fast paced environment; the ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, assist multiple customers at once and provide outstanding customer service.

 

The Sales Associate represents Lord & Taylor and its ideals of service and quality to the customer. The Sales Associate must always be ready to assist customers with merchandise selection and ensure that the customer's overall Lord & Taylor experience is a positive one. Professionalism and knowledge of merchandise are essential qualities for a successful Sales Associate. As representatives of Lord & Taylor's fashion image, all Sales Associates are expected to dress in a professional manner. Sales Associates must be able to work in a team-oriented environment, have strong people skills and be comfortable with building client relationships.

Part Time Fitter/Tailor/Seamstress

Lord & Taylor is currently accepting applications for a Part Time Fitter/Tailor to join our Alterations department.

 

The Lord & Taylor Tailor/Fitter and Dressmaker will work closely with the store team to ensure all alterations and finished jobs meet and/or exceed the Lord & Taylor standards. Responsibilities include taking measurements of male and female customers, communicating with store executive team & sales associate and the ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of alterations equipment.

 

 

Job Requirements

Communication

  • Very Strong Communications skills; will need to explain fitted marking to his/her peers
  • Professionalism, must be able to interact with the L&T customer and work with store team
  • Extremely strong customer service skills

Fitting Skills

  • Strong understanding of both men’s and women’s fitting and marking.
  • Must know how to take measurements on both men and women’s.
  • Be accurate and productive in marking and pinning.
  • Knows how to use all types of marking tools (rulers, hem markers &…)
  • Will be able to follow Lord &Taylor Fitting Manuals expectations.

Sewing skills

  • Must be able to match Lord & Taylor’s standards and expectations in finished job.
  • Meet our productivity standards of minimum 7 UPH.
  • Enough knowledge of both men and women’s dressmaking and tailoring.

Additional Expectations

  • Must know spot cleaning and pressing.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in alterations.
  • Must know alterations machineries and equipment including: Industrial Sewing Machine, Serger and Blind Hemmer.
